I am passionate about yoga, and people, and believe that yoga is for all humanity. Yoga is a way of living, not just asanas (postures) practiced on the mat in a hot room. Yoga sets us on a journey of self-discovery. It teaches us that we no longer need to continue searching for happiness, because it is already within. Yoga teaches stillness, and in that stillness we realize our true self

Tracey began her Bikram practice in the spring of 2004. "I was going through a health crisis
at the time and needed a distraction. I've always been so challenged by yoga. I am not a
naturally athletic or limber person and I usually came away from other yoga classes limping
and annoyed. Not so with Bikram yoga." Tracey was so wowed by all the Bikram-related blessings --
both physical and mental -- that she graduated from Bikram's Yoga College of India in the summer of 2005.
Outside the studio, Tracey is the author of The Mighty Cobra and the Pink Rabbit, an illustrated diary
chronicling her yoga journey, including the 9-week intensive Bikram teacher training. Bikram often
gave corrections to Tracey. Bikram once said her triangle, cobra and locust were the worst he'd ever seen.
"And I mean worst ever, in the whole globe. And remember, I teach for 40 years." By graduation week,
he bestowed her triangle the title "worst ever to best in the world." In prior professions involving
slightly less sweat, she has worked in television, radio, Wall Street, and public relations.
Jane was first introduced to yoga as a way to reduce stress while working in high-tech corporate sales.
She was also struggling with chronic pain and injury due to training for and running marathons.
She quickly realized the healing power of the yoga and began to seek relief with a regular practice.
Jane has always been an active person and has tried all forms of exercise. She says, however, that as
soon as she did her first yoga practice, she knew it was the perfect fit for her. Jane left her
corporate job for good in 2002 and later that year completed her training to become a Bikram Certified
Teacher. She has also studied with Baron Baptiste and Lisa Black and has successfully completed Baptiste Power Vinyasa Levels 1 & 2 Teacher
Training. Jane teaches with confidence and clarity and strives to find creative ways to share the amazing gift of yoga.
Jo Parsons has been a student of Bikram and Power Vinyasa yoga for 5 years. Jo’s life took a turn in a
positive direction when she found yoga. "Yoga brought me back to myself," Jo explains, “I love this yoga because
it teaches us how to be challenged without panicking. It reveals to us our own true strength, and sometimes it’s
our ability to back off that creates a deeper sense of that strength.” Struggling with weight loss after the birth
of her second child, Jo tried Bikram yoga at the suggestion of a friend. The weight loss happened and being
in shape was great, but this was soon overshadowed by unimagined benefits… a huge shift in energy, a new
awareness of body and mind... an ease in life that had never been there before. Jo believes that yoga is
a way back to your true self, and a way to connect to Spirit through body and breath.
Drawn to teaching from the beginning, Jo has spent recent years devoting full time and attention to training and teaching -- with Baron Baptiste at level 1 teacher training in Hawaii, and recently with Baron Baptiste at level 2 teacher training in Montana. Jo teaches Power Vinyasa Yoga based on the Baptiste method.
Jo believes in the benefits of yoga because she has experienced the bliss and healing it has brought to her in her own life. She brings passion, joy and energy to her teaching.
Jenny studied Dance at the University Of Washington and began teaching yoga in 2005. Prior to
becoming a yoga instructor, Jenny was a pre school teacher and professional belly dancer in
Seattle. In 2005 she attended an intensive 9 week 500 hour teacher training at Bikrams Yoga
College Of India.
Glenn studied Religion and Psychology at the University Of Montana and
relocated to the Seattle area from Portsmouth, New Hampshire. He found his
way to his first Bikram Hot Yoga class in Missoula, Montana, 1999.
Just beginning to practice meditation, Glenn believed that this particular style of yoga would be a good addition to this practice. The intense conditions of Bikram Yoga forced him to become aware of his breath and body.
After taking a long break from yoga he returned to the studio in Portsmouth, recovering from a shoulder and knee injury. With two scheduled operations, he decided to give the yoga another shot- 6weeks, five classes a week, to avoid surgery. It worked!
After two months it was clear to Glenn that he would not need the surgery. He regained plenty of mobility and reduce a lot of pain.
In 2005 Glenn decided to leave his other jobs behind and get certified to teach yoga. He thoroughly enjoys teaching students how to feel more comfortable in their body and also challenge them to push themselves to the edge of their abilities. You'll find that Glenn brings humor and discipline to each of his classes
Yu began practicing Bikram Yoga in 2003 to compensate her long distance running hobby. Right away,
she knew Bikram Yoga would be her daily practice for the rest of her life and has been practicing
passionately ever since and has benefited tremendously through the practice. Yu believes Bikram Yoga
truly brings union between body and mind. Yu completed 2007 Spring Bikram Teaching Training in Hawaii
and has been enjoying teaching since then.
Christine encountered Bikram’s Yoga in winter of 2001. While the heat was overwhelming, it was also
what kept her going back. In the fall of 2001, Christine headed to eastern Washington for college.
During her four years in college, where there was no Bikram studio nearby, Christine practiced as much as
she could whenever she returned home for winter, spring, and summer breaks. Upon graduating with a Bachelor
in Asian Studies, Christine found work with the Northshore YMCA in child care and committed fully to her yoga
practice. She attended the spring 2007 Bikram Yoga Teacher Training and will be entering University of Washington’s
Master in Teaching Program in summer 2008. Christine enjoys the ever-evolving shape of her practice and welcomes the
challenges of every class. She hopes that her students find health and happiness through their yoga practice.
